A Computer Program for Calculating Power of the F-TestThe University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston
The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston This paper describes a simple computer program for calculating the power of the F-test. The approach is based upon two independent approximationsthe first, a normalization of the non-central F distribution and the second, an integration of the normal distribution. Comparison of the calculated values of power with exact values revealed a high degree of accuracy.
