Iteman: An Item Analysis Program for Tests, Questionnaires, and ScalesThe Johns Hopkins University
Ecosometrics, Inc. ITEMAN is a comprehensive item and test/scale analysis program. Special features include recoding of item responses, acceptance of card or tape input from optical scoring machines, and analysis of scales with up to 10 response alternatives. The program can be executed with as few as three control cards. The output provides item statistics, test/scale statistics, a frequency distribution and histogram, and item response analysis. Written in ANSI FORTRAN, the program is compatible with machines such as the IBM 360/70, UNIVAC 1108, and CDC 6600. ITEMAN will accommodate a test with up to 300 items divided into 50 subtests. The number of cases is restricted to 99,999.
