Itema: An Improved Item Analysis ProcedureUniversity of New Orleans An item analysis and test-scoring procedure was developed based on a model proposed by Menne (1970). In addition to standard distractor analysis and test scoring, ITEMA includes an interface with data produced by optical scanning equipment. Program features include differential weighting of test items; unique identification of items from question files; and summary analyses suitable for automated gradebook programs. The program can select any part of the test analysis as options.
