A Comparison of Three Methods of Scoring True-False TestsFairleigh Dickinson University Eakin and Long (1977) have recently proposed a scoring technique for True-False tests which they indicate "offset(s) some disadvantages in the two standard scoring techniquespercentage right scoring and the right minus wrong scoring" (p. 659). The present paper notes that the advantages of the Eakin and Long technique over the standard techniques, are attained at the cost of a larger risk of misranking the examinees.
