Relationship of Work Values to Corresponding Academic Success
University of Southern California The present study examines the relationship of a measure of work values to academic success in school courses related to performance in actual work situations. Correlations were obtained between work values as measured by the Career Orientation Placement and Evaluation Survey (COPES) and course marks. The pattern of obtained correlations between school marks and those specific values hypothesized to correspond with occupations reflected in course content is generally consistent with expectations.
