Compare: a Computer Program Which Performs the Analysis and Coding of Error Responses to Words Presented for Recognition

This paper describes a computer program which performs the comparison of oral response errors to stimulus words visually presented for recognition. Errors are compared and analyzed on 50 graphophonic featural dimensions. The merits of the program for facilitating certain aspects of word learning research are discussed.
