The Multivariate Case of the Shine-Bower Single-Subject ANOVATexas A&M University The Shine-Bower single-subject ANOVA is extended to the multivariate case, i.e., the case of more than one dependent measure or variate. Two cases of between-variate dependencies among within-subject errors are considered. The first case assumes a restricted pattern of between-variate dependencies among within-subject errors. This case allows the use of standard multi-variate ANOVA procedures. The second case assumes no between-variate dependencies among within-subject errors. This case allows the use of simplified multivariate ANOVA procedures.
