Pattern Analysis of Rod-and-Frame Test Data

Rod-and-frame test performance consists of several analytically separable components. A general method is presented which identifies these components. The method consists of correlating theoretical patterns of scores with obtained test scores of single subjects. A special randomization test was developed for this purpose. The correlation test calculates probability values directly from the test data. In this way fit (p? .05) or best fit (lowest p-value) can be determined between theoretical pattern and test scores.
