Correcting Point-Biserial and Biserial Correlation Coefficients for Chance Success

Formulas are provided for correcting point-biserial and biserial item-test correlations for the effect of chance success by guessing. It is pointed out that these chance-corrected correlations may sometimes exceed unity.
