Structure of a Short Form of the Questionnaire on Resources and Stress: A Bootstrap Factor Analysis

The psychometric integrity of a measure of ecological stress in families with children who are handicapped, the Questionnaire on Resources and Stress-Friedrich (QRS-F) short form, was investigated using bootstrap factor analytic logic. Three series of 100 factor analyses of random samples of different configurations of subjects (100, 200, or 600) were conducted. Results were generally supportive of a conclusion that the QRS-F is reasonably valid.
