Prior evidence supporting these seven dimensions derived from two separate studies; one study supported the first four dimensions and a separate study supported the other three. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses provided support for the seven dimensions. Analyses were based on an administration of the complete ISAI to a single sample of 484 elderly. Scale means, standard deviations, reliabilities, and inter-correlations, also based on this administration, are consistent with previous research.
