A Generalization of James'S Second-Order Approximation to the Test for Regression Slope Equality

Richard P. Deshon

University of Akron

Ralph A. Alexander

University of Akron

James's second-order approximation for testing the equality of k independent means under heterogeneity of variance may be adapted to the test for the equality of k independent regression slopes under heterogeneity of error variance. The performance of the approximation is evaluated and program availability is discussed.
